A little about me.

I became quickly interested in the resources available on Teachers Pay Teachers a little more than a year ago. Rolling out the Common Core Modules in ELA and Math was daunting to say the least. Thankfully TpT had resources for me.

Fast forward to June 2015.

I ended the school year knowing I would be co-teaching in 4th grade for a second year with the same wonderful, creative person. The 2014-2015 year was a year of getting to know each other's teaching style, and trying to incorporate the Modules.

I spent the early summer browsing TpT looking for free or affordable center activities in all content areas. I was hooked!

After 24 years of teaching in the Special Education field and countless hours creating differentiated/modified curriculum, I started thinking that I could do what others on Teachers Pay Teachers do. I am always up for a challenge, so I spent the rest of summer researching how to go about becoming a seller on TpT. I didn't really have making money in mind. I just wanted to share some of the resources I had built over those years.

While I think I am a computer literate, there were gaps in my abilities.  I learned to navigate Word and Adobe in ways I never knew possible. Lots and lots of trials and errors. Thankfully my two daughters helped when I was stuck and frustrated.

I made several games like what I had seen on TpT. My classroom would be the test subjects! Two of the things that I felt were important, that I found lacking in some TpT materials, were specific directions and answer keys. I wanted these two things in my materials, so the activities I produced could be student led, not teacher directed.

I jumped in to selling on TpT and was thrilled when I noticed downloads for my first free item! That was the catalyst for what probably is now an obsession to put every usable resource from the last 24 years on TpT!

Just yesterday I opened TpT and saw my Store listed right on top with Seller updates! Not once....but numerous times! I was stunned! I was so new at this and here I was on the opening page!

That's when I decided I had better start writing this adventure down!

Stay tuned for the rest of the story.....
