Retired but still supporting teachers one product at a time.

So with great happiness, mixed with some sadness, I officially completed my last day of teaching on June 22, 2016. I will miss my colleagues as well as the children. For 26 years, my life has centered around school and children. I have so many projects floating around in my head, but one of my priorities is to continue to support teachers using my experiences to design products that will make learning and teaching more engaging. 

Mixed with that, I will be taking on the photographing of my daughter's fiber products for her Etsy shop  at http://www.lladyllamafiberco.etsy.com/
This has been a huge learning curve for me, but so exciting! I have never really used a complicated camera, so I needed to take online classes to learn the camera I chose. With help from my daughter, we have set up a light room and are currently in the process of taking pictures, as well as updating her shop.

And... to reach out to someone who may not be so fortunate.

So I have begun to organize. I finished the Spelling Units through Level 3 and posted them.  I will try to finish up the math vocabulary sort and match topics this weekend. They are all started, I just need to get them in finished mode. I need to make a sort and match for the plant unit to go with the study guide and Jeopardy Review Game.

I wore my shirt yesterday to school.

I do like this, especially since I say the original prayer all the time. My TpT store also has Serenity, Courage, Wisdom as my favorite saying.

I did try out the Geography Jeopardy Game. The students loved it! The only glitch is the question stays on the board after it has been answered. I just marked an X on my white board when the question was used. I am trying to figure out how to make the question go blank or disappear, if we have answered it. I will keep you posted. I added a Flowering Plant Jeopardy game over the weekend.


I got my first and second feedback today. Both were positive, so that makes me happy. I was so concerned that people were spending money on a product they didn't like or couldn't use.


My sales have actually surpassed my expectations, so the ideas continue to spin in my head. I want to share everything, even if it is for free. I must start prioritizing and finishing things I have started.

Because my sales were promising in the 1st month, I took the plunge and became a Premium Seller.
We will see if the slow, but steady trend continues.

This has been a busy weekend! I found a Jeopardy Game on TpT for free and made 2 review games; one for New York State Geography and one for New York State Native Americans! I am so excited by this, as I have tried Jeopardy games before and they just haven't worked correctly once I try to use them at school. Stay tuned and I will let you know how it works!

I also decided to take all of the alternative assessments I have done in the last few years and get them up on TpT. I have both 4th and 5th grade alternative assessments in ELA and Math. I have 4th grade in science.

I keep plugging at all of the resources I have made throughout the years. Hopefully someone finds them as helpful as I did.

My only sadness in all of this, is I haven't received feedback from my sales or my free items. So, I have no clue as to how useful my items are. I know it's only been a month, so I will be patient for feedback and followers.
